Biswajyoti Basu (“BJ”) is a veteran media & marketing professional with 17 years of rich industry experience. BJ has worked with renowned global advertising brands; Dentsu & Mindshare where he spent 11 years of his career. BJ has a profound Consumer understanding having led multi million dollar campaigns for various brands; among them GSK, Societe Generale, Tata Steel, Randstad, Lavazza, Hitachi, Honda, JK Tyres & Indian National Congress. He has the distinction of 6 promotions in a period of 9 years before he quit to be an entreprenuer. As an entrepreneur he could foresee the role of Video Content in Digital Marketing and produced content for leading brands in India.

At GenY Medium, BJ leads Digital Strategy & Business Development. He is responsible for crafting the Digital roadmap for brands across Paid Marketing, Social Media, Digital Transformation & E-Commerce with a mobile first strategy. He believes that UI/UX defines brand experiences. He shares excellent rapport with clients.

BJ is a mentor with antwak.com, a teacher of advertising and an active member of an NGO; upskilling disadvantaged kids with Computer Education. He has won an award at the prestigious India Leadership Summit & at GoaFest, India’s equivalent to Cannes. Further his venture has been recognised at IIM-C, India’s leading B-School. He was also a freelance journalist for The Statesman newspaper before he started his career and has interviewed some of the leading business personalities of India.

He has not stopped learning and has recently completed a Leadership Programme in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Texas at Austin preparing him for the 4th Industrial Revolution.
