He is a highly motivated and self driven individual with excellent analytical skills and an ability to work from a macro to micro perspective. He has a strong sense of commitment to organization building and institutionalization and currently leads the 100+ member GenY team spread across India & Canada.
Subroto has wide and rich experience across industries in the areas of change management, driving business results, business strategy, P&L management, developing consumer propositions and GTM strategy. He has a proven ability to adapt to fast paced highly dynamic market environments, with a focus on thought to execution leadership and delivering results. At GenY he is creating high performing teams across Data & Analytics, Creative & Content and Marketing automation.
His experience has been multi-faceted and across the sectors of Consumer Brands, Automobiles, Telecom, Media, Real Estate, and E-Commerce. He has worked with marquee brands like Maruti Suzuki, Caltex, Tata Group, Airtel, and Times of India(TOI). At TOI he was responsible for generating revenues of over 250mn US$. Subroto has demonstrable success in a variety of business and functional leadership roles across both metro and rural markets in both traditional and new age technology driven businesses. Subroto has experienced the transition from traditional to digital first hand which has helped him straddle brick-n-mortar and digital with equal ease.
He has keen interest in mentoring early stage tech start-ups and loves to read and engage in cross fit activities.
Subroto has a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical engineering from IIT Kanpur, and an MBA from IIM Bangalore.
